This “Megaproject Tender Evaluation for a Nuclear Power Plant” is a micro-workshop that engages the attendees to simulate tender evaluation activities in about 45 minutes. The emphasis is on the birds-eye view of such large projects with regional impacts, rather than dealing with details of nuclear technology.
After an introduction by Gary Kennedy, attendees will break into 3 or 4 groups and all given the same tender bidders responses. Each group will confidentially evaluate the bids for a safety system in a Nuclear Plant. Near the end, the confidential bid evaluations by each group will be compared and any differences in perspectives will be discussed. Lessons learned from the workshop will be highlighted to reinforce procurement best practices for such bidder evaluations.
